SPEARFISH, S.D. – In Independence League action, Seth Nelson collected three hits in five at bats, as the Spearfish Sasquatch defeated the Oahe Zap 21-10 on Saturday.
Nelson hit a solo home run to right field in the fourth inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and singled in the third inning.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Spearfish collected 24 hits and Oahe had 17 in the high-scoring affair.
Jackson Peters earned the win for Spearfish, allowing three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one.
Cole Ottersberg took the loss for Oahe.
Spearfish will welcome in the Casper Spuds iLB on Monday for their next game.
