SPEARFISH, S.D. – Micah Coleman collected three hits in four at bats, but the Spearfish Sasquatch lost to the Casper Spuds 12-5 on Thursday.
Coleman doubled in the second inning, singled in the sixth inning, and singled in the eighth inning.
Logan Lathrop earned the win for Casper. The starting pitcher gave up seven hits and four runs over five innings, striking out two and walking none. Nathan Harb took the loss for Spearfish. The starting pitcher went four innings, surrendering five runs (three earned) on four hits, striking out two and walking three.
Spearfish piled up 11 hits while the Spuds amassed 14 hits in the game. Jackson and Josh Phillps were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Casper while hitting back-to-back.
