PIERRE, S.D. – State health officials reported 149 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday. Of those, 29 were listed as probable.
Two new deaths were reported, sending the state’s death toll to 1,898.
Active cases totaled 2,109 and the number of people hospitalized dropped to 74.
There were 23 confirmed reported West River: six each in Meade and Pennington Counties, three in Mellette County, two each in Butte and Dewey Counties, and one each in Corson, Custer, Lawrence, and Tripp Counties.
Six probable cases were reported West River: four in Fall River County, and one each in Gregory and Lyman Counties.
