Saturday COVID-19 Report – Six new deaths and 188 new cases

PIERRE, S.D. – Health officials Saturday reported 188 new cases of COVID-19, with 68 of them listed as probable.

Six new deaths were also reported today, sending the state’s death toll over 18-hundred to 1,804. The six new deaths were 1 woman and 5 men.

Active cases decreased by 58 to 2,372 and the number of people hospitalized dropped by 6 to 115.

Around the Black Hills area, there were 27 confirmed cases and 5 probable cases.

Pennington County had 15 new, confirmed cases with 4 probable. The total number of cases in Pennington rises to 12,483.

Meade County added 6 new, confirmed cases Saturday and Lawrence County had 2 new, confirmed cases.

Custer County added 2 new, confirmed cases and Fall River added one.

Oglala Lakota County had one new, confirmed case and one probable case.
