STURGIS, S.D. – In Saturday Soccer, Carsen Wolter of Sturgis has the new Scooper goal record as he recorded his 14th in a rout of St Thomas More.
Sturgis notched their 8th win of the season with a 10-0 win over the Cavaliers at Woodle Field. The Scoopers scored 7 of their goals in the first period.
Talan Kullbom scored 2 goals and 3 assists to help lead Sturgis and Jack Schnobrich had 5 saves.
In other boys scores from Saturday:
Douglas/RC Christian/New Underwood defeated Belle Fourche 2 to 1 and Pierre beat Mitchell 4 to 2. Custer and James Valley Christian ended in a 3-3 draw.
In girls action, St Thomas More came from behind to be beat Sturgis 3 to 1, and Mitchell beat Pierre 5 to 0.
