PIERRE, S.D. – State health officials reported 147 new cases of COVID-19 Saturday. Of those 147, 44 were listed as probable cases.
Six new deaths were reported, sending the state’s death toll to 1,859.
Active cases dropped below 2,000, totaling 1,997 with 95 people hospitalized.
Pennington County had 18 new cases with 10 of them listed as probable.
Meade County had 4 new cases with one probable and Lawrence, Butte and Custer each reporting two new cases.
