School Board approves new trimester schedule for SBHS

STURGIS, S.D. – The Meade 46-1 School Board approved a new trimester schedule at Sturgis Brown High School.

Instead of the current A-B Block Schedule, which has students alternating between four periods a day, the district will change to a 5×3 trimester starting next school year. This would give students five classes a day per twelve-week trimester.

Sturgis Brown Principal Pete Wilson says the goal is to make the daily workload more manageable for students and teachers.

The Trimester vote was unanimous.
