STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper Competitive Cheer team used home court to their advantage and captured the Black Hills Conference Spirit Competition Cheer title Thursday.
The Scoopers took first place with a score of 222.
St Thomas More was second with a 191.5 and Douglas placed third with a 190.5.
Winning Grand Champion Dance was Spearfish with a 438. The Spartans won the Pom and Jazz categories and Hot Springs claimed the Hop Hop competition.
The Bison placed second in the overall standings with Belle Fourche finishing in third.
