STURGIS, S.D. Both Sturgis Scooper girls and boys basketball teams got some much needed wins Friday night as they crusied to victories over Hot Springs.
In the girls game, three Scoopers scored in double figures in a 69-24 win.
Tatum Lightenberg led all scorers with 15 points and Sarah Janz added 13 points. Sturgis scored 12 three-pointers – the most all season as they outscored the Lady Bison 24-6 in the second quarter to pull away for good.
Katie Harris led Hot Springs with 10 points.
The boys were equally as successful and used a 24-2 run in the second quarter to pull away for a 61-28 victory.
Sanden Graham led the Scoopers with 13 points and Ryder Ladner added 10.
Wrider Allison led Hot Springs with 12.
