STURGIS, SD – The Sturgis Scooper girls soccer team battled for 80 minutes with the St. Thomas More Cavaliers but both teams came up short, ending the match in a 0-0 draw at Woodle Field.
The Scoopers (4-8-1) finished with 15 shots on goal, nine fouls and two offsides penalties. St. Thomas More (3-7-1) had 12 shots on goal, four fouls and two offsides penalties.Â
Sturgis is in action next on Sept. 30 when they host Douglas/Rapid City Christian/New Underwood at Woodle Field.

The Rapid City Stevens girls got an 8 to 0 shutout of Douglas/RC Christian/New Underwood on Senior Night.
In the boys game, Rapid City Stevens also picked up a win with a 7 to 2 game over Douglas/RC Christian/New Underwood.
In another boys game, Belle Fourche and Custer played to a 1-1 draw.
