STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper girls basketball team wrapped up their regular season schedule with a 61-32 loss to Rapid City Stevens.
Sturgis hung right with the Raiders until the second quarter before they would pull away and take a 35-22 lead at halftime.
Stevens only led by four at the end of the second quarter, but outscored the Scoopers 20-11 in the second.
Kenadi Rising led the Raiders in scoring with 14 points. Bailie Sobczak added 13.
Kaylee Whatley led the Scoopers in scoring with 7.
The Scoopers head to the SoDak 16 next Friday night. Their opponent will be announced after games finish up Saturday night.
