STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper boys and girls soccer season officially wrapped up last night as the annual awards were handed out.
Winning the Varsity Boys Playmaker of the Year was Talan Kulbom.
The J.V. Offensive Player of the Year went to Ella Walker for the girls and Jaxon Dodson for the boys.
Winning Varsity Offensive Player of the Year for the girls was Avery Marler and Carsen Wolter won for the boys.
Josie Reedy and Grady Gloadt won J.V. Defensive Player of the Year and Sofia Colunga and Jack Schnobrich won Varsity Defensive Player of the Year.
For Leadership and Spirit Awards, Christian Lemke for the boys and Bella Tobias for the girls won the Spirit Award. Karsen Berndt for the boys and Rowan Swift for the girls won the Leadership Award.
Winning M.V.P. Awards were Karsen Berndt for the boys and Iris Zylstra for the girls.
School Record awards this year include Carsen Wolter with most goals in a season with 16, Talan Kullbom with Most Assists in a Season with 11, as well as scoring the most total goals and assists in a season with 22. Christian Lemke scored the most saves in a season with 144.
