STURGIS, S.D. – Both Sturgis Scooper girls and boys soccer teams got wins as they held their home opener on Tuesday.
The Scooper girls shut out the Belle Fourche Broncs by the score of 7-0 on a hot night at Woodle Field.
The Scooper boys also got a 5-0 win over Belle Fourche. The game was called in the second half after a storm brought lightning and rain to the area.
The Scooper girls are now 2-1 on the year, as are the Scooper boys.
Both teams will host Pierre on Thursday night at Woodle Field.
In other soccer action Tuesday, the St Thomas More boys defeated Custer 6-0.
