STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper softball team beat the rain yesterday, and got their game in at the Sturgis Softball Complex.
The Scoopers played Campbell County, Wyoming as thunderheads built to the north and west.
Campbell County took an 11-0 lead in the first inning and cruised to a 16-0 win.
Up next, the Scoopers will host Yankton on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
In some other softball scores yesterday, Harrisburg shut out Mitchell 15-0 and Sioux Falls Jefferson downed Watertown 11-2.
