HURON, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper volleyball team wrapped up the 2020 season with a 3-0 loss too Huron Thursday night in the SoDak 16.
Huron dominated in sets 1 and 2, winning 25-8 and 25-12. Sturgis held a brief 2-0 lead in set 1, but then saw the Tigers take control and score the next 10 points to take a lead they would not relinquish.
The Scoopers played a much more competitive set 3, but fell 25-21.
Sturgis wraps up the season 8-16 and Huron advances to the state tournament next week.
