STURGIS, S.D. — The Sturgis Scooper volleyball team won their first match of the 2022 season, defeating the Custer Lady Wildcats in three sets, 25-12, 25-21, and 25-20 Tuesday night at West Gym.
Freshman Faith King led the Scoopers (1-8) with seven kills, four aces and one block. Avery Fogleman added seven assists and three aces.
Kylee Pulscher had 12 assists and one ace for Custer (2-6).
Sturgis hosts the unbeaten Pierre Lady Governors Friday at West Gym. First serve is scheduled for 7pm.
