RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper wrestling team picked up a pair of dual wins Thursday as they prep for Friday’s Rapid City Invite.
Sturgis defeated Huron 72-9 and Aberdeen Central 43-20.
In the Huron matchup, the Scoopers got 11 pins and one forfeit.
Scooper winners included Korbin Bunch at 106, Teryn Zebroski at 113, Tegan Zebroski at 120, Beau Peters at 132, Cade Willnerd at 138, Andon Hammerstrom at 145, Kelson Dirk at 170, Reese Jacobs at 182, Aiden Werlinger at 195, Zak Juelfs at 220 and Dakarai Osborne at 285.
In the Aberdeen Central matchup, the Scoopers got five pins, a major decision and three minor decision.
Getting pins for the Scoopers were Kalvin Ketelsen at 152, Reese Jacobs at 182, Zak Juelfs at 220, Korbin Bunch at 106 and Teryn Zebroski at 113.
Aiden Werlinger claimed a 9-1 major decision victory at 195-pounds and Cade Willnerd at 138, Chase Temple at 160 and Tegan Zebroski all claimed minor decision wins.
In other dual action Thursday in Rapid City, the Central Cobblers dropped a 61-15 match to Aberdeen Central and defeated Huron 48-30.
Rapid City Stevens also picked up a couple of wins Thursday, defeating Chamberlain 54-21 and Sioux Falls O’Gorman 75-3.
