MADISON, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper Wrestling team captured the team title of the Madison Invitational Saturday.
The Scoopers finished with 301.5 points, well ahead of second place Rapid City Stevens with 204.
West Central placed third, Brookings was fourth and Tea Area was fifth.
Sturgis crowned five champions on the day. They were Tyler Baldwin at 105 pounds, Tegan Zebroski at 126, Joseph Nadig at 150, Zoel Irion at 157 and Zak Juelfs at 215.
Rapid City Stevens crowned Joe Juenger the 138 pound champion
The Scooper girls finished in fifth place and crowned one champion with Annalee Pierson winning the 100 pound title.
