TEA, S.D. – The Sturgis Scooper Baseball Team opened up the Super Regional Playoffs Wednesday by traveling to Tea to take on the Titans.
Tea dominated in Game 1, shutting out Sturgis by the score of 15-0 in a game that ended early due to the mercy rule.
Game 2 of the best of three series is Thursday at 1:00 p.m. MT. If the Scoopers win Game 2, a winner-take-all Game 3 will be held immediately after Game 2. If the Scoopers drop Game 2, Tea wins the series and advances to the state tournament.
