Voter turnout was 63% statewide.

SD Voter Turnout good according to Sec of State

PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Secretary of State’s office says voter turnout was 63% for yesterday’s general election.

The office says 393,651 ballots were cast.

In Meade County, voter turnout was 71.7% with 14,891 ballots cast.

Lawrence  County saw a 70.5% voter turnout and Pennington County had a voter turnout of 63.53%.

Butte County reported voter turnout of 73.25% and Custer County reported a nearly 76% voter turnout.

South Dakota has 624,186 registered voters.
