SDNG training season is underway in the Black Hills

RAPID CITY, S.D. – The South Dakota National Guard (SDNG) training season is well under way and the West Camp training area will be utilized heavily in the next few weeks by the Officer Candidate School (OCS) and supporting units as the OCS program completes phase three of their training from July 13-25th.

Expect an increased military presence that includes military vehicle traffic, utilization of the range and possible training aids that may include loud noises. They will be training from roughly 0700-2000 during this timeframe.

Be advised that West Camp is not open to the public and the use of drones is prohibited as safety remains the highest priority. The SDNG is an elite organization of citizen-warriors that are community-based, and we appreciate your continued support in the efforts to remain a ready and trained force.
