PENNINGTON COUNTY, S.D.— Authorities in Pennington County say a missing snowmobiler has been found alive.
Multiple law enforcement and search and rescue agencies were called out in the search of Michael Splittstoesser in the Deerfield area on Thursday after he failed to return when expected.
The sheriff’s office says Michael Splittstoesser was snowmobiling with a blue Yamaha around Deerfield.
An update post on Pennington Council Sheriff Facebook says he was found at 12:30 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2023.
