FORT PIERRE, S.D. – The second round is in the books at the South Dakota High School Finals Rodeo and Landry Haugen of Sturgis remains on top of the barrel racing.
Haugen’s second run at the barrels wasn’t as fast as her first, but she remains on top of the aggregate with 58 points. Haugen also leads he pole bending with a 48.
Another Sturgis athlete, Kashton Ford, is leading the bareback with a total of 56.50 after he turned in a 70 point ride in the 2nd go.
Traylin Martin of Faith remains on top of the Saddle Bronc, turning in a 70 in the 2nd go to put him on top of the leaderboard with 57 points.
Buffalo’s Grey Gilbert is leading the steer wrestling after the 2nd go with 39 points – tied at the top with Wall’s Bridger Amiotte.
Tegan Fite of Hermosa and Rapid City’s Rio Nutter are leading the team roping with a 41.
