RAPID CITY, S.D. – In 2nd round wrestleback action Friday afternoon, Sturgis Scooper Korbin Olson recovered from his lost in the quarterfinals and picked up a win over Spencer Eldeen of Mitchell. The win came after a fall at 1:53.
At 113 pounds, Beau Peters lost his wrestleback to Jacob Wolfe of Brandon Valley. The loss came on a 6-1 decision. Logan Brown of Rapid City Central won his second round wrestleback with a 4-1 decision over Michael Roob of Vermillion.
At 120, Maverick Simons won his second wrestleback of the day with a 3-0 decision win over Brandon Sparks of Mitchell.
At 126, Logan Desersa recovered from his quarterfinal loss and picked up a wrestleback win over Isaac Henry of Madison.
At 132, Jacob McCormick of Stevens won his second round wrestleback with a 13-3 decision over Peyton Tron of Harrisburg. Aiden Kracht of Spearfish lost his wrestleback to Brock Sparks of Mitchell.
At 138, Perry Ketelson recovered from a quarterfinal loss earlier in the day to win his wrestleback over Braydon Stueck of Aberdeen Central.
At 145, Zach Soderlin of Rapid City Central dropped his second round wrestleback to Nate Sprenkle of O’Gorman.
At 152, Harrison Good lost a 9-3 decision match to Barrett Schneck of Milbank. Bailey Badwound of Spearfish won his second round wrestleback with a win over Trey Neilan of Chamberlain.
At 160, Graydon Bakke of Rapid City Central won his second round wrestleback with a 4-3 decision over Payton DeWitt of Douglas.
At 170, Landin Winter of Rapid City Central defeated Brayden Gee of Dell Rapids and Tanner VanScoy of Stevens lost his second round wrestleback to Jack Kratz of Vermillion.
At 182, Robert Merwin dropped his second round wrestleback to Tyler Rudebusch of Watertown in a fall at 3:48. Jayden Alexander also dropped his matchup with Hunter Stambach of Cheyenne Eagle Butte.
At 220, Eli Huot won his wrestleback with a win over Abraham Myers of Sioux Falls Washington.
And, at 285, Buck Fickbohm of Sturgis couldn’t follow up his win earlier today and dropped his second round wrestleback to Canon Burkhard of Chamberlain. Malik Ahmed-Hosie also lost his wrestleback matchup with Tyler Dean of Watertown.
