STURGIS, S.D. – A pickup, semi-truck colission sent the two vehicles into the ditch at Exit 30 in Sturgis Saturday afternoon.
Sturgis police chief Geody Vandewater says a pickup truck was entering the interstate at exit 30 east bound and failed to yield to a semi that was eastbound on the interstate.
The semi and truck collided and went into the ditch continuing through the fence and coming to rest on moose drive. Neither driver was injured.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol was investigating the crash to determine if any charges are filed.
Vandewater says along with the highway patrol, Sturgis Police, Sturgis Ambulance, and public works all responded to the crash.
