Semi truck in the median disrupts eastbound travel on I-90 at Rapid City Tuesday

RAPID CITY, S.D. – A jackknifed truck caused traffic disruptions on I-90 this afternoon at the Haines Avenue Exit.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol and Rapid City area law enforcement responded to the scene where they found the rig jackknifed in the median.

Rapid City Fire says their hazardous materials unit was called out to address a spill of approximately 70 to 100 gallons of diesel fuel. A wrecker was brought in to haul the truck out of the median.

The crash caused eastbound traffic to be reduced to one lane.

There were no injuries reported. The accident was under investigation by the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
