RAPID CITY, S.D. – Rapid City Police, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office and the highway patrol are looking into a serious accident that took place on Highway 16 south of Rapid City Wednesday night.
The accident took place at the Reptile Gardens and Happy Holiday RV Park intersection.
Witnesses state an SUV pulled out in front of a semi-truck when the collision occurred.
Law enforcement reported multiple injuries and several people were taken to the hospital.
The accident temporarily closed the service road in front of the RV Park as authorities cleared the scene.
The accident remained under investigation Wednesday night.
