RAPID CITY, S.D. – Areas of Western South Dakota saw several inches of rain from a system that moved through Friday and Saturday.
Here in Sturgis were reports of around 3 inches of rain and 2.06 inches was reported at the Rapid City Airport.
Downtown Rapid City reported around 2 inches and Lead checked in with 1.31 inches.
Some of the highest totals came in from Jackson County, where a river gauge seven miles east of Cottonwood recorded 5.18-inches of rain. An area to the northwest of Kadoka saw just over 4 inches and the Kadoka area saw just over 3 inches.
Most areas across Western South Dakota reported between 1 and 3 inches.
