STURGIS, S.D. – Meade County Sheriff officials say they are searching for a suspect after a high speed chase that occurred last night.
Sheriff Ron Merwin says authorities tracked down a stolen car on North Haines Avenue, and as they attempted a stop, the suspect driving the car led authorities on a short pursuit.
The chase ended on 141st Street off Elk Vale when the car crashed into a ditch.
Merwin says the suspect fled from the scene before being apprehended.
