SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – State tournaments for Varsity A and Varsity B Girls Softball was held over the weekend in Sioux Falls.
Sioux Falls Lincoln captured the State A title with a game two win over Harrisburg. Harrisburg earned a 6-2 win in the first game, but a 9-6, seven inning win for Lincoln in the second game would earn the Patriots the 2021 State Championship.
West Central won the Varsity B championship. The Trojans, who did not allow a run during the tournament, defeated Dell Rapids 10-0 in the title game to claim their sixth straight championship.
On their way to victory, West Central defeated Sturgis Saturday. Sturgis earned their ticket to play West Central with a victory over Baltic.
Sturgis dropped to the losers bracket, where they wrapped up their season with their second loss.
