Sioux Falls OGorman and Sioux Falls Christian wins boys golf championships

UNDATED – The AA and A boys golf championships concluded on Tuesday from Sioux Falls and Hot Springs.

Sioux Falls Christian took home the state team title in ‘A,’ while Sioux Falls Lincoln claimed the ‘AA’ team championship.

In Class AA, Watertown finished in second, O’Gorman was third, Yankton was fourth and Harrisburg placed fifth. The top placing West River team was Rapid City Stevens in 8th place. Spearfish finished in tenth place.

Winning the state individual title for Class AA was Nash Stenburg of Lincoln with a two day total of 142. Watertown’s Kayden Rylance was second with a 147 and William Sanford of O’Gorman was third with a 148.

Rapid City Central’s Alex Duran finished in a two-way tie for fourth and Jonah Swartz of Rapid City Stevens finished in sixth.

At the State A, Chamberlain finished in second behind Sioux Falls Christian and Tea Area placed third. Vermillion was fourth and Aberdeen Roncalli round out the top five. Top placing West River team was St Thomas More in ninth.

Winning the individual state title was Micah Dohrer of Aberdeen Roncalli with a two day score of 152. Paul Bruns of Dakota Valley was second with a 156 and Dakota Munger of Chamberlain was third with a 157.
