Sioux Falls police investigating shooting that sent Rapid City man to hospital

RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Rapid City man is hospitalized in Sioux Falls after being shot there while sleeping in his car.

The man, whose identity has not been released, fell asleep in the back seat of his car and awoke outside the car to find he had been shot.

Sioux Falls police say no arrests have been made, but believe they have identified two suspects in the case.

Police spokesman Sam Clemens says many facts about why the man was shot are still unclear, and that police still have “a lot of questions” in the case.
