PIERRE, S.D. – Health officials reported 277 new COVID cases Wednesday as the state health department released their weekly update.
There were 33 people hospitalized due to the virus with 24 new hospitalizations reported this week.
Six new deaths among cases was reported, sending the state’s death toll to 3,229.
Across the Black Hills, Lawrence County had the most new cases with 25, Pennington County had 23 and Meade County reported 7.
Elsewhere, Oglala Lakota County had 8, Butte County listed 3 and Fall River and Custer Counties each had one.
