PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health reported 325 new cases of COVID-19 in their Friday report.
Active cases have dropped to 14,615 and the number of people hospitalized totaled 294. That is down from Thursday’s 317.
Six new deaths were reported, sending the state’s death toll to 2,730. Of the new deaths, three were reported out of Pennington County, where the death toll rises to 322.
Across the Black Hills area, Pennington County reported 43, Lawrence County added 11, Meade and Butte County each reported 9, Oglala Lakota County listed 13, Custer County had 6 and there were 3 new cases reported out of Fall River County.
