Soccer Roundup – Scoopers shut out Douglas/RC Christian/New Underwood

STURGIS, S.D. – In high school soccer, the Sturgis Scooper boys and girls won games vs Douglas/RC Christian/New Underwood.

In the boys game, the Scoopers needed just one goal as they defeated the Patriots 1-0.

The girls rolled to a 3-0 win as heavy rain moved in and created some slippery field conditions.

The Scooper ladies outshot the Patriots by a wide margin as they improved to 3-5 on the season. The boys improve to 4-4.

In other soccer action,

Rapid City Central and Stevens squared off on Thursday night in boys and girls soccer.

Windy and rainy conditions made it hard for either team to score, but overall, the Raiders were able to win both matches by identical scores of one-nothing.

Zach Williams scored late in the second half to secure the win for the Stevens boys. Sophomore Breanna Reagan scored the game winning goal for the Raider girls who improve to 5-3 on the season.
