UNDATED – The South Dakota High School Soccer postseason began with first round playoff action Tuesday.
In Girls Class AA Action, the Sturgis Scoopers saw their season come to a close with a 3-0 loss to Sioux Falls Lincoln.
Rapid City Central also dropped their playoff match to Brandon Valley 2-0. Rapid City Stevens advances to the next round with a 6-0 victory over Watertown. Spearfish lost 6-2 to Sioux Falls Jefferson.
In Boys Class AA Action, the Sturgis Scoopers played well, but fell 2-1 to Sioux Falls O’Gorman. Spearfish was on the winning end of things, as they ended Yankton’s season with a 3-1 victory.
Watertown defeated Rapid City Central 4-1 and Rapid City Stevens beat Pierre 3-1.
There was an upset in Class AA, as top seeded Huron got toppled by 16th seeded Brandon Valley 3-1.
In Class A boys, St Thomas More advances to the semifinals with a 7-0 win over Freeman Academy. In the other Class A matchup, Tea Area beat James Valley Christian 2-0.
The St Thomas More girls lost to Vermillion 5-1 while Sioux Falls Christian beat Dakota Valley 2-0.
