PIERRE, SDD – — South Dakota lawmakers are in Pierre for a special legislative session that begins today (Monday).
The first today (Monday)is to consider new legislative district maps. House and Senate committees held public meetings across the state gathering input on what a new map might look like. Governor Noem has been watching that process play out.

against Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.Tuesday, lawmakers will take up the possible impeachment of Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg following his role in a fatal vehicle-pedestrian crash more than a year ago.
Governor Noem called on Ravnsborg to resign, but that hasn’t happened.
Ravnsborg pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors in the death of Joe Boever near Highmore.
