SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota’s Department of Health announced Monday’s COVID-19 test results which showed another record number of positive cases.
There are now a total of 868 positive cases, up by 138 from Sunday’s 730. The Department says there are 655 active cases.
There have been 8,134 negative tests, up from Sunday’s 7,823.
Minnehaha County saw the highest number of cases overnight – 127 positive tests, giving them a total of 527. Lincoln County saw an additional four positive tests giving them a total of 50.
There was one positive test coming out of Western South Dakota – Pennington County reported the case, giving them a total of 9 with 5 people recovered.
Cumulative hospitalizations are at 44 and there was one new hospitalization announced Monday. There were 10 new hospitalizations announced on Sunday. Deaths remained at six. Recoveries increased to 207.
