SPEARFISH, S.D. – Spearfish announced new head coaches for their boys basketball and volleyball programs Tuesday.
Athletic Director Stephanie Ornelas says Ben Schultz will take over boys basketball and Shelbie Budmayr is the new volleyball coach.
Schultz is from Brandon, where he was an assistant coach or the Brandon Valley boys and girls basketball teams.
He replaces Erik Skoglund, who resigned in March.
Budmayr is from Belle Fourche, and was promoted from her role as freshman volleyball coach, where she has served the past three years.
She takes over for Christine Skoglund, who stepped down after leading the Spartans the past three seasons.
