SPEARFISH, S.D. — Authorities in Spearfish are investigating a Saturday morning homicide.
At approximately 12:48 a.m. Saturday morning, the Spearfish Police Department received a 911 call requesting medical services for a 43-year-old female at 713 St. Joe Street in Spearfish.
When officers arrived, they discovered a female had suffered a gunshot wound, and she was transported to Spearfish Monument Hospital.
She was pronounced dead upon arrival and her death is being investigated as a homicide.
Authorities identified the victim as 43-year-old Destiny Dawn Rogers.
Rogers’ spouse, 33-year-old Dreau Lester Rogers, has been arrested and remanded into the custody of the Lawrence County Jail.
