STURGIS, S.D. – The Sturgis Scoopers and Spearfish Spartans boys soccer teams finished a game Monday that got suspended last week due to lightning.
The game resumed with the Spartans holding a 2-1 lead and that is the way the game ended.
After the remaining 20 minutes expired, Spearfish held on to the lead and improved to 3-6-1 on the year.
Sturgis falls to 4-7-1.
The Scooper boys have just two games left in the regular season – at St Thomas More on Thursday and home vs Rapid City Central next Thursday.
