SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Spearfish Sasquatch earned a 7 to 5 win over Casper in Independence League play Tuesday night.
Spearfish had 11 hits and were led by Nicky Winterstein, who finished 3 for 4 at the plate with three runs and two stolen bases.
J.D. Kirchner earned the pitching win for Spearfish in relief. He went one-and-two-thirds inning, allowing one hit and striking out two.
The Sasquatch and Horseheads will meet again Wednesday at Black Hills Energy Stadium in Spearfish.
