SPEARFISH, S.D. – After losing their opening playoff series game, Spearfish won two straight to earn a bid to the inaugural Independence Baseball League championship series.
The Sasquatch advanced with a 6-1 win over the Badlands Big Sticks Tuesday night.
Spearfish was led by Ryan Doran, who went 4 for 5 at the plate with one run and an R.B.I.
Connor James earned the pitching win, going six innings and striking out four batters.
The Sasquatch will play the Western Nebraska Pioneers in a best of three game series for the Independence League Championship.
The series starts Thursday at Black Hills Energy Stadium in Spearfish.
