Spearfish woman sentenced for embezzlement

DEADWOOD, S.D. – A Spearfish woman who was convicted of stealing thousands of dollars from her employer has been sentenced.

Jessica Lynne Hall, 35, was initially indicted by a Lawrence County Grand Jury in early February and charged with grand theft by embezzlement. She was accused of taking more than $33,000 dollars.

Hall pleaded guilty to the charge in April and on June 2, was granted a suspended imposition of sentence and placed three years on probation. She will need to serve 30 days in jail and pay back the $33,250 she took.

Lawrence County State’s Attorney John Fitzgerald says Hall has paid back the full amount.
