St Thomas More wins team title at Sturgis Invitational

STURGIS, S.D. – The boys high school golf season opened up on Monday with the annual Sturgis Invite.

St Thomas More claimed the team title, carding a low 361. The Sturgis Scoopers came in second with a 372 and Belle Fourche placed fourth with a 386.

Vincent Van Liere of St Thomas More won individual medalist honors with a low 78. Brock Schroeder of Hot Springs was second with an 87 and Ryder Bailey of Custer was third with an 88.

Top placing Scooper was Jace Owens in sixth with a 90. His teammate Jason Habrock was in seventh one stroke back.
