BROOKINGS, S.D. – Rapid City Post 22 saw their season come to an end at the State Legion Baseball Tournament Thursday with a 15-5 loss to the Harrisburg Gold.
Harrisburg Legion Gold jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Teigan Munce singled, scoring one run, and Eli Kokenge homered to left field, scoring three runs.
Harrisburg Legion Gold scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning.
Jadon Moreno stepped on the mound first for Post 22. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and eight runs over one and one-third innings, striking out none and walking one.
Hayden Holec, Alex Dietrich, Harrison Good, and Jace Morgan each collected one hit for Post 22. Holec, Dietrich, Morgan, and Tate Crosswait each drove in one run.

BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Renner Royals legion baseball team is now 3-0 in the class ‘A’ state tournament, following a dominant 10-0 win over Watertown Thursday.
Renner was supposed to play the nightcap on Wednesday, but severe weather pushed their game back to Thursday at noon.
They defeated Brookings to advance to the semifinals.
Renner would take a seven hour break and return to the field to play Watertown.
The Royals scored one in the first and three more in the second. Post 307 never looked back adding six more over the next three innings to claim a five inning win.
Renner will play Harrisburg Gold on Friday.
