SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Day one of the South Dakota Class A State Tennis Tournament is in the books, and Rapid City Christian had a nice opening day.
The Comets advanced five of six singles flights and two of three doubles flights to Tuesday’s semifinals.
Top seeded Ella Hanock is defending state champion and will joined Hannah Beckloff, Zeah Rherd, Riley Geyer and Allison Hill in the semifinals.
Leading the team standings is Mitchell with 300 points, followed by R.C. Christian in second with 266. Yankton is third, Pierre is fourth and St Thomas More sits in fifth.
