UNDATED – The ‘AA’ and ‘A’ boys state golf tournaments concluded from Brandon and Rapid City on Tuesday.
Watertown captured the team title in Class AA, their first boys state golf title since 1971, and Vermillion repeated as state champions in Class A.
Jake Olson of Watertown won the ‘AA’ individual championship, his second of his high school career, and Anthony Lanham won the ‘A’ title.
At the Class AA, O’Gorman came in second in the team standings with Pierre third and Harrisburg fourth. Top placing West River school was Rapid City Stevens in ninth. Sturgis finished in 17th.
Top placing West River golfer was Jackson Swartz of Stevens in 11th.
At the Class A, Tea Area was second in the team standings, Dakota Valley third. St Thomas More was fourth. Vincent Van Liere of St Thomas More finished in second with Dakota Munger of Chamberlain finishing in third.
