PIERRE, S.D. – The South Dakota Department of Health reported 466 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday with 81 of those listed as probable.
Active cases were back up a bit today, totaling 7,102. The number of people hospitalized remained stable at 239.
There was one new death reported, sending the state’s death toll to 2,450.
New cases across the Black Hills area included 50 in Pennington County with 4 of those considered as probable cases.
Meade County added 10 new cases with one of those probable and Lawrence County reported 8 new cases.
Elsewhere, Custer County totaled 6 new cases, Fall River County had 4 and Butte County added 3.
