State records 35 new COVID-19 cases in Monday report

PIERRE, S.D. – South Dakota’s Department of Health reported 35 new positive tests for COVID-19 in its daily report Monday.

Pennington County recorded 6 of those new tests, sending their cumulative total to 513 with 129 active cases. The active number of cases in Pennington is down 8 from Sunday.

Other new cases West River include 1 each in Fall River, Oglala Lakota, Todd and Tripp Counties.

There were no new cases in Meade County, and the active caseload is down two to 8 Monday.  There were also no new cases in Lawrence County and their active caseload remained at 4.

The statewide active caseload Monday is 807, down 31 from Sunday.

The number of people hospitalized is down 5 today to 70.
